IVM Capital Advisors (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black-owned firm founded in 2016, with the sole purpose of providing expert advisory services in South Africa and across the African continent. One of our main focuses is to offer clients in the fuel retail and property development sector (downstream oil and gas) access to specialist-structured finance, corporate/project finance, and general transactional advisory services throughout South Africa.

Global oil consumption has risen from 85 million barrels a day in 2010 and will peak at 110 million barrels a day in 2040. Demand for natural gas is also expected to increase, as it will play a bridging role in the clean energy transition to 2050. Renewable energy is expected to contribute 40-45% of global energy generation by 2030 and 65% to 85% of global energy generation by 2050, McKinsey (2022). Demand for fossil fuels is expected to grow only up to 2030 and then decline afterwards. Renewable energy will overtake fossil fuels from 2050 onwards.

Isaac is a dealmaking executive skilled in deal origination across the African continent, business valuations, financial modeling, due diligence, capital raising, and the entire M&A process. He completed his audit articles with SNG Grant Thornton in 2009 and has since obtained professional membership with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). He has more than 15 years’ experience in corporate finance, project finance, and private equity, with industry experience in property development, manufacturing, and energy. Isaac’s experience includes working for the Central Energy Fund Group as a senior group analyst in mergers and acquisitions, driving the group’s M&A buy-side (growth) strategy. His focus was exclusively on investing in energy projects across the energy value chain (renewable energy and oil and gas) in South Africa and the rest of Africa. He has in the past worked for entities such as MN Capital Africa and Business Partners Limited. He is also the founder and managing director of IVM Capital Advisors (Pty) Ltd.
